What is Facebook Pixel?
Facebook pixel a piece of code that connects your website to your Facebook ad account or business manager account to:
- Target people who have visited your website or landing pages
- Optimise ads for conversion (eg, purchased a product, became a subscriber, download a product guideline)
How To Set Up Facebook Pixel
Before you can start to set up the pixel, you will need to have a Facebook Business Page ready. Check out our guide in setting up a Facebook Business Page.
Step 1: Go to Menu. Select Ad.
Step 2: Go to All Tools. Select Events Manager.
Step 3: Connect A Data Source
Step 4: Select Web
Step 5: Select Facebook Pixel
Step 6: Name Your Pixel
Your Pixel Should Show Up On the left panel here:
Step 7: Installing Pixel To The Website
Select Add Events. Select From A New Website
You are given 2 options. Facebook will guide you with both these processes, and it’s really easy to complete.
Step 8: Check Pixel Installation
Download the ‘Facebook Pixel Helper’ extension to help you check if the pixel is installed successfully on your website. The extensions should appear as such on your website.
